Our response to the Government’s planning proposal

We are an informal alliance of the 15 largest developing housing associations based across the East of England. We provide homes that are fit for the future in the East. Together we meet the needs and ambitions of the people and communities in our region. Together we combine our individual strengths to make a bigger difference.

We have recently worked to evaluate the potential impacts on us proposed in the Governments planning reforms. Whilst we welcome many of the proposals to speed up and simplify the planning process, we are concerned at the potential impact on affordable housing. We remain committed to working in partnership to meet the housing needs in the East of England and have collective plans for over 15,000 new homes over the next 3 years.
