Quince Court extension planned for summer 2021

Quince Court is one of our modern independent living schemes with Extra Care services, situated in the market town of Sandy, Bedfordshire. Extra Care means that we offer tailored support to those aged 55+ who have care or support needs to enable them to live securely in their own home.

Quince Court currently has 30 individual apartments (26 one-bed and 4 two-bed), a communal lounge, kitchen and laundry room. By the summer of next year, we hope to have extended the scheme by a further 25 apartments – each with a balcony and own front door – plus a rooftop terrace. We have made good progress, despite the situation with the pandemic.

All flats are fitted with a 24 hour emergency alarm system and residents are supported by a 24 hour care team based on site and our Partnership Support Advisor, Brenda Moore.

On site there’s also a garden, assisted bathroom, a guest room and a scooter store. The sun room is a bright modern space with comfortable seating, perfect for residents and guests to relax in.

Sandy has an excellent range of shops, supermarkets and amenities and, with a bus stop nearby, the towns of Biggleswade and Bedford are within easy reach.
