Building more homes in Milton Keynes

We’re pleased to have been granted planning permission from Milton Keynes Council to build much needed affordable housing in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes.

The site, off Highgate Over, will provide 30 two bedroom apartments with a range of tenures, including shared ownership which will offer a low cost route into home ownership for people wishing to get on the property ladder.

Grand Union’s Director of Development and Commercial, Dave Lakin, said: “We are delighted to have been granted planning permission on this site so we can deliver good quality homes in a pleasant location.

“In these very uncertain times, everybody should have a safe, secure, comfortable and affordable home and this is where we come in, by building more high quality homes in Milton Keynes.

“We are pleased that planning permission has been granted. This means we can now make a start to build what we believe will be great new homes, in a location that is close by local shops and facilities, which has an existing transport network and a strong local community, who I’m sure will welcome those moving in.”

Grand Union has a strong track record of building new homes in and around Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and South Northants, building over 1,800 homes since the group was formed in 2008 and with plans to build 1,900 more new homes in the coming years to play their part in ending the housing crisis.
